PROJECT BRIEF
'Persephone' is named after the Greek goddess of Spring and the queen consort of the Underworld by virtue of being wife of Hades. Hence, the aesthetic personified by her is that of a romantic gothic. Following the same keyword as guideline, the project is a print collection that derives inspiration from multiple examples of Gothic Architecture and its maximalist nature. Colours and motifs of the prints follow the characteristic architectural details of vaulted and ribbed ceilings, stained glass windows, and other such juxtaposed elements embodying a romantic yet dark aesthetic.
